Installation |
BlueZone Web-to-Host |
NOTE This procedure applies to both Evaluations and Licensed BlueZone Web-to-Host installations.
During the installation of BlueZone Web-to-Host, you will be given an opportunity to install the Software Activation File (SAF) as part of the BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizard installation. This is the easiest way to install your SAF file. However, it's possible that you did not have a SAF file at the time you performed the installation. In this case, you will have to manually install the SAF file.
Installing the SAF file is very simple. It's simply a matter of copying the SAF file to the Web-to-Host Wizard installation directory. By default, BlueZone comes with a "non-working" SAF file as a placeholder. This file is called seagull.saf and is about 1KB in size. The purpose of the placeholder SAF is so that if you do not have a SAF file at the time of installation, you won't get a download error that BlueZone Web-to-Host could not download the SAF file. Instead, you get a message that the you will need a valid SAF file in order for BlueZone to operate properly.
NOTE If you did not install a SAF file during the Web-to-Host Wizard installation, you will still be able to use the Web-to-Host Wizard to create Sites, Launch Folders and BlueZone Sessions. These BlueZone sessions will be able to launch but will not be able to connect to a host without a valid Software Activation File (SAF).
Locate your Software Activation File (SAF), which was sent as an email attachment to you, or the person who ordered BlueZone. This email would have been sent from "SEAGULL Software Activation". The name of the file will probably be seagull.saf. The size of the SAF file is about 3KB.
NOTE Because of future products, it is possible that your SAF file may have a different name.

On the machine where the BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizard is installed, navigate to the following location:
C:\Program Files\SEAGULL\BlueZone Web-to-Host\5.0
Copy the new SAF file over the existing SAF file.
From this point on, any new Site that you create using the BlueZone Web-to-Host Wizard will use the new SAF file. Any existing Sites that you created before you updated the SAF file will still have the old SAF file. If this is the case, use the following procedure to update all your existing Sites.
On the web server where BlueZone Web-to-Host is installed, locate the Site Folders that you created with the Web-to-Host Wizard. You should have created at least one Site.
For example:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MySite
Copy the new SAF file over the existing SAF file which you will find at the "root" of each Site Folder. Make sure you repeat the process for every Site Folder on your web server.
The new Software Activation File will automatically be downloaded to your users.
