How to Enable Vista Protected Mode

If it's your policy to have User Access Control enabled in the Internet and Intranet zones your End Users have Protected Mode enabled in their browsers, then you should configure BlueZone to operate in the Protected Mode by enabling the Protected Mode checkbox.

This will ensure that BlueZone Web-to-Host installs properly.

If it's your policy to have User Access Control disabled and your End Users do not have Protected Mode enabled in their browsers, then you should not configure BlueZone to operate in the Protected Mode by making sure that the Protected Mode checkbox is not checked.

Configuration Method: Web-to-Host Wizard

Feature Scope: Launch Folder Level Feature


NOTE  This feature applies to the Standard Web-to-Host Mode only.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Web-to-Host Wizard.

  2. Navigate to the desired Site and Launch Folder.

  3. Click the Next button two times to bring up the Advanced Settings page.

  4. Click the Web-to-Host button.  The Advanced Settings : Web-to-Host page will be displayed.

  5. Click the Options tab.

  6. Locate "Use Protected Mode for Vista" and place a check in the checkbox.
