How To Enable the Power Keys Feature

Starting with BlueZone version 4.0, the Power Keys feature has been replaced by the new Power Pads feature.

However, it is possible to enable the old Power Keys feature.  This is done by manually changing a setting in the default.ini file.

Changing this setting in the default.ini file located in the \template folder will enable this feature for all Launch Folders created after this change was made.

Configuration Method: Manual Configuration

Feature Scope: Site Level Feature (See the TIP below)

Procedure

  1. On the web server, navigate to the desired Site that you wish to change.

For example:

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MySite

 

  1. Locate and display the contents of the \template folder.

  2. Locate the default.ini file and edit it with Notepad.

  3. Locate the EnablePowerKeys=No entry towards the end of the [BlueZone] section.

  4. Change the No value to Yes and save the file.

Any new Launch Folders that are created from this point on, will have the Power Keys Feature enabled for all Sessions.  If you have already created one or more Launch Folders, you will have to go to each existing Launch Folder, and edit the default.ini file, changing the EnablePowerKeys=No to Yes.

TIP  It is possible to enable the Power Keys Feature individually for each existing Launch Folder.  This is accomplished by editing the default.ini file located in only the Launch Folders you wish to change.
