BlueZone Web-to-Host

How to Configure Embedded Client Mode

Embedded Client Mode: Click here to learn more about this feature

By default, BlueZone Web-to-Host is not configured for Embedded mode.  In the normal default Web-to-Host mode, BlueZone sessions are launched separate from the browser.

BlueZone sessions can be "embedded" into the browser window, in either Positioned mode where you can choose the exact height and width of the BlueZone session in pixels, or Full Screen mode where the BlueZone session takes up the full size of the browser window.

NOTE This feature only works with Internet Explorer.

When to Use This Feature

Use this feature when you want to make the BlueZone emulator client part of the web page, as opposed to floating on top of the web page.

Configuration Method: Web-to-Host Wizard

Feature Scope: Launch Folder Level Feature

NOTE  This feature applies to the Standard Web-to-Host Mode only.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Web-to-Host Wizard.

  2. Navigate to the desired Site or create a new one then click the Next button.

  3. Select an existing Launch Folder or create a new one then click the Next button.

  4. You should now be on the Sessions page.  Since you can only embed one BlueZone session in a web page, make sure that the Launch Folder you selected has only one associated Session.

  5. Click the Next button.  This will bring up the Advanced Settings page.

  6. Click the Web-to-Host button.  This will bring up the Advanced Settings : Web-to-Host page as shown here:

  1. Enable the Embed in Browser radio button as shown above.

  2. Now select the Embed Mode type from the listbox as shown here:

  1. If you chose the Position option, you can change the height and width of the BlueZone emulation session.  The LaunchPad Height ans LaunchPad Width can be changed by going to the Options tab as shown here:

  1. Make any other desired changes on this page and click the OK button.

From this point on, when you launch a Session from this Launch Folder, the Session will be "embedded" in the browser, based on the Embedded Mode settings you chose.
