Upgrading BlueZone Version 4.1 to 4.2

Overview

Starting with BlueZone version 4.1, BlueZone uses an MSI type installer (InstallShield Wizard), to keep track of all the installed BlueZone files.  So, if you are upgrading version 4.1, the upgrade process is very simple.  If you are NOT upgrading version 4.1 to 4.2, click here.

Your current BlueZone user created files, i.e., profiles (configuration files), scripts, macros, etc., will remain intact and will be fully compatible with the upgraded version of BlueZone.

Upgrade Procedure

  1. Insert the BlueZone CD-ROM into your computer's CD/DVD drive.  The Welcome to BlueZone "Splash Screen" will appear.

  2. Click on the BlueZone Desktop button and select BlueZone Desktop.  You will be presented with the Choose Setup Language screen.

  3. Select the desired language from the drop down list and press the OK button.  The Welcome dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. Click the Next button to proceed.  The BlueZone Software License Agreement dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. Answer as appropriate then click the Next button.  The Destination Folder dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. We recommend that you let BlueZone determine the Installation Drive and Directory and the Working Drive and Directory.  Click the Next button.  The BlueZone Components dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. Since this is an upgrade, the BlueZone features shown in the Component Selection dialog, will match the version that you are upgrading.  You should not make any changes to this list.

  1. Click the Next button.  The Choose Activation File dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. Since this is an upgrade, you already have a SAF file in place, so you can skip this dialog.  Click the Next button.

  2. The Ready to Install the Program dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. Click the Install button to proceed with the installation.  The Installing BlueZone dialog will be displayed as shown here:

  1. When the installation is complete the following dialog will be displayed:

  1. Click the Finish button to complete the upgrade

Congratulations!  You have just successfully upgraded your version of BlueZone.
