BlueZone Installation

Chapter 2

Enabling Kerberos Authentication Protocol

Kerberos Authentication Protocol is available as an optional "no additional cost" feature.  By default, Kerberos is not included as part of the standard BlueZone installation and does not appear in the Components Selection screen when installing BlueZone from the BlueZone CD-ROM.

In order to enable Kerberos Authentication, you have to copy the Kerberos cab file to a BlueZone Installation Source Directory.

SEE  BlueZone Optional Features first, to learn how to create a BlueZone Installation Source Directory on your hard drive.

Once you have created a BlueZone Installation Source Directory, you can proceed.

Procedure
  1. Browse to the BlueZone Desktop folder you created on your hard drive.

  2. Locate the \Kerberos folder.

  3. Move or copy the BZKERB.CAB file from the Kerberos folder to the BlueZone Desktop folder.

  4. Launch the InstallShield Wizard by double clicking the SETUP.EXE file.

  5. Follow the standard BlueZone installation as you normally would.

  6. When you arrive at the Component Selection screen, Kerberos will appear as an optional component that can be installed as shown here:

By default, Kerberos is not selected for installation as shown above.  You must select it in order for it to be installed as shown here:

  1. When you have finished making this selection, click the Next button.

  2. Follow the InstallShield Wizard to complete the installation.

SEE  Installing BlueZone in this chapter if you need help with installing BlueZone.

Congratulations!  You have successfully enabled Kerberos Authentication.
