A Signing Certificate Trusted Root is necessary to authenticate the Client's certificate chain to the Server when the Client Certificate is presented during the initial SSL negotiation. Installing the Signing Certificate as a Trusted Root results in a unique "hashed" representation of the file with an alpha-numeric filename and a .0 to .9 extension. If the clients are not being used to authenticate users, the Signing Certificate Trusted Root need not be installed.
Go to Certificates:Install to display the Install Certificates On Server dialog.
Select the Trusted Root Certificates radio button.
Click the Browse... button the select the Server Certificate file, then click Open.
Click the Install... button to create the Trusted Root Certificate File.
