How to Update Your SEAGULL Activation File

If your BlueZone Web-to-Host evaluation has expired or if you are converting your BlueZone Web-to-Host installation to a licensed version, you will need to update your SEAGULL Activation File.

  1. Locate your SEAGULL Activation File (it will be called seagull.saf) which was sent as an email attachment to the person who ordered BlueZone.

HELP!  I can't locate my SEAGULL Activation File.  To send an email to Seagull Software's Order Administration Department Click here.

  1. Copy the SAF file to the directory on the web server, that contains BlueZone Root Directory, overwriting the existing SAF file.

  2. Using the Web-to-Host Wizard, re-publish all Launch Pages that you have created.

NOTE  Each Launch page must be re-published in order for the Web-to-Host Wizard to update the file version number so that the new SAF file will be automatically download the next time your End Users access a Launch Page.

If for some reason you do not want to re-publish your Launch Pages, you can opt to manually update the SAF file version (using Notepad) which is located inside the each default.dst file.

SEE How to Manually Install the SEAGULL Activation File for more information on editing the default.dst file.
