BlueZone has several optional components that can be “pushed out” to your end users. Since not all BlueZone Customers will use these components, we do not include them as part of the initial “default” download of BlueZone. By not including these files, we keep the BlueZone download as small as possible and, it also prevents end users from having access to certain components (like scripting and FTP) unless it is desired by the BlueZone Administrator.
BlueZone FTP can be a standalone application by itself, or it can be included as an “optional” program to work in conjunction with the BlueZone Display emulators.
For example, if you want to be able to launch a BlueZone FTP session from within a Mainframe Display session, you need the optional BlueZone FTP CAB file.
BlueZone has several powerful scripting options which also include the ability to interface with HLLAPI applications. The BlueZone Scripting CAB file contains all the necessary files to support BlueZone scripting and HLLAPI.
If you need to support any type of BlueZone scripting and or HLLAPI, then you will need the BlueZone Scripting CAB file.
The BlueZone Session Manager is an external helper program that can be launched from a BlueZone Display session. BlueZone Session Manager is very useful for managing multiple host connections.
BlueZone Session Manager is used in conjunction with BlueZone Served Desktop Client.
This DLL is needed to support double byte character sets.
This file is used in conjunction with the BlueZone Served Desktop Client mode.
This is a small “standalone” utility (similar to Notepad) that is used to display BlueZone printer spool (.dat) files. Unlike Notepad, SPOOLINF displays all the control characters that are part of the print job. Being able to read the control codes can be very helpful if you are troubleshooting a printer problem.
This program is used to uninstall the BlueZone Served Desktop Client.
