SEAGULL FTP has the ability to import and export configuration files directly to and from the Windows Registry. A tremendous asset for Systems Administrators, these files can then be used on other machines to set SEAGULL FTP configuration settings.
From SEAGULL FTP’s MenuBar, select File:Save As. The Save Configuration As dialog will be displayed.
Enter a file name.
NOTE You do not have to type in the file extension,
SEAGULL FTP will automatically supply the correct file extension.
Click the Save button.
From SEAGULL FTP’s MenuBar, select File:Open. The Open Configuration dialog will be displayed.
Select or browse to the desired configuration file.
Click the Open button. SEAGULL FTP will immediately use the configuration settings stored in this configuration file.
NOTE To
store imported Windows Registry changes, go to the SEAGULL FTP's MenuBar, select File:Save.
Using the Start Configuration File
System Administrators can pre-configure SEAGULL FTP by saving the desired configuration settings to a file named start and then including the file on the SEAGULL FTP distribution diskette. When SEAGULL FTP is launched, it looks for a file named start.zft and will “auto-open” the file if it exists.
