The Host File Transfer property sheet is used to configure the BlueZone file transfer settings. To invoke the Host File Transfer property sheet, from the BlueZone MenuBar select Transfer:Configure. The Host File Transfer property sheet will display the Settings, Advanced and Batch Transfers tabs. To configure the Batch Transfers tab, refer to the following Step-By-Step procedure.
STEP-BY-STEP Creating
and Executing Batch Transfers
The Settings property page of the Host File Transfer property sheet is used to configure basic file transfer settings. Options include:
Host System ----
The Host System group is used to select the type of mainframe operating environment:
VM/CMS: Virtual Machine / Conversational Monitor System.
TSO: Time Sharing Options.
CICS/VS: Customer Information Control System for Virtual Storage.
Host File ----
The Host File group is used to enter host file information. Options include:
File Name: the name of the file on the host.
Member: The host file data set name.
File Type: the VM file type.
File Mode: the VM file mode.
PC File ----
The PC File group is used to enter a PC file name. Options include:
File Name: the name of the file on the personal computer.
Browse: used to locate a drive, directory and the PC file.
File Options ----
The File Options group is used to configure additional file settings. Options include:
Text- Enable if the file is a text file.
Binary- Enable if the file is a binary file.
CR/LF-Specifies that Carriage Return and Lline Feed characters are recognized and deleted before storage within the host, or inserted before storage to the PC.
Append- Specifies that the file data will be appended to the end of an existing file.
Transfer Options ----
The Transfer Options group is used to configure additional transfer options.

Packet Size: Used to select the data packet length for a Structured Fields file transfer.
The Advanced property page of the Host File Transfer property sheet is used to configure advanced file transfer settings.
Record Format ----
The Record Format group is used to configure file record format settings for a VM/CMS or TSO file transfer upload.
Default: Enable to use the host default record format.
Variable: Specifies whether the record length of the data file is variable.
Fixed: Indicates that the record length of the data file is fixed.
Undefined: Enable if the record length of the data file is undefined.
Record Length: Specifies the length of each logical record stored within the host.
Block Size: Indicates the length in bytes of a data block to be stored within the host. If Block Size is omitted then the default is Record Length.
Space ----
The Space group is used to configure allocation parameters for a TSO file transfer upload. Options include:
Allocate Size: Specifies the amount of space to allocate for the new data set. If Allocate Size is zero then no Space parameters will be sent to the host system.
Increment: Amount of additional space allocated each time more space is necessary.
Unspecified: Enable to not specify an allocation method.
Average Blocks: Used to enable and specify a block size to store in blocks.
Cylinders: Specifies that transfers are stored in pairs of tracks that are the same distance from the center of the storage diskette.
Tracks: Enable to store in concentric circles.
Options ----
The Options group is used to configure additional file transfer operating parameters. Configurable options include:
Host File Password: Required only if password protect is specified for a particular data set.
Transfer Program Name: Specifies the transfer program name on host system. The default program name is IND$FILE.
Include Left Parenthesis: Enable if the host needs left parenthesis on the command line.
Include Right Parenthesis: Indicates that the host needs right parenthesis on the command line.
Additional Parameters: Any additional data entered here will be appended to the transfer command.
The Batch Transfers page is used to define batch file transfers.
Options ----
Batch Transfer Definitions: Lists the names of your Batch Transfers.
New: Used to create a new Batch Transfer Definition.
Rename: Used to rename an existing Batch Transfer Definition.
Delete: Used to delete an existing Batch Transfer Definition.
File Transfer Definitions: Lists the names of your File Transfers.
Add: Used to create a new File Transfer Definition.
Edit: Used to edit an existing File Transfer Definition.
Remove: Used to delete an existing File Transfer Definition.
Host System: Displays the currently selected Host System from the Settings Tab.
Transfer Direction: Choose the direction of the file transfer below.
Receive: If selected, the file will be sent from the Host to the workstation.
Send: If selected, the file will be sent from the workstation tot he Host.
Transfer Command: Displays the currently selected Transfer Type with options.
Execute Batch Transfer: Click to execute the currently selected Batch Transfer Definition.
