Connection Tab

BlueZone can connect to the iSeries host system in one of two ways: Renex Async Protocol, and TN5250/TN5250E  TN5250/TN5250E is by far the most prevalent type of connection.  TN5250E supports both display and printer data streams.

To use the Session Configuration dialog perform the following steps:

  1. On the MenuBar, go to Session:Configure....  The Session Configuration dialog will appear.

  2. Choose a connection type from the Connection Type list box. This displays the available host connection options.

  1. After selecting the Connection Type, go to the Options frame and make the following decisions:

Auto-Connect Session
If enabled, BlueZone will auto-connect the session after the communications library has initialized.
