View properties

The View Properties window is used to configure the toolbar, power pads, status bar, and the color scheme.

Note: Starting with Rocket TE version 4.0, the power keys feature is not enabled by default. Power keys have been replaced by power pads.

From the Rocket TE menu bar, click View → Properties. The View Properties window contains the following tabs:

Note: Support for Power Keys can be enabled by a Rocket TE Administrator. If you want to use the Power Keys feature, contact your Rocket TE Administrator or consult the Rocket TE Desktop Administrator's Guide to enable the Power Keys feature.

    Rocket TE has several toolbars that allow quick access to many functions. The toolbars can be customized by the end user or customized by the Rocket TE administrator to match the emulator being replaced.
  • Rocket TE VT and 6530 toolbars
    There are several toolbars that allow quick access to many functions. You can customize the toolbars or the display session may come pre-customized by the Rocket TE administrator.
  • Unisys T27 or UTS toolbars
    Rocket TE has several toolbars which allow quick access to many functions. The toolbars may be customized by the end user or customized by the Rocket TE administrator to match the emulator being replaced.
  • Power pad properties
    Power pads are configured in the Power Pads tab of the View Properties window.
  • IBM 3270 Mainframe status bar indicators
    To change what is displayed on the status bar, click View → Properties from the Rocket TE menu bar and click the Statusbar tab or double-click the status bar.
  • IBM 5250 iSeries status bar indicators
    To change what is displayed on the status bar, click View → Properties from the Rocket TE menu bar and click the Statusbar tab or double-click the status bar.
  • Rocket TE VT and 6530 status bar indicators
    To change what is displayed on the status bar, click View → Properties, and click the Statusbar tab.
  • T27 status bar indicators
    To change what is displayed on the status bar, click View → Properties from the Rocket TE menu bar and click the Statusbar tab or double-click the status bar.
  • UTS status bar indicators
    To change what is displayed on the status bar, click View → Properties from the Rocket TE menu bar and click the Statusbar tab or double-click the status bar.
  • Color schemes
    You can customize the color scheme of the menu bar, toolbar, and status bar. There are predefined color schemes available or you can create a unique color scheme.
  • Screen history
    The screen history feature captures an image of each screen displayed in the emulator and saves it to a buffer. Users can search through these historical screens to view their content, copy text to the clipboard, and so on. A history pad is also provided to quickly search through the historical screens. The screen history buffer clears automatically when you disconnect from the host system.
