Macro Conversion Help

Extra! Recorded Macro Conversion Feature

BlueZone Script Host & Debugger has the ability to automatically convert Extra! Recorded Macros.  The conversion automatically takes place when opening a script file in BlueZone Script Host & Debugger, and specifying an Attachmate Extra! .ebm macro file to convert to a Visual Basic Script.

NOTE The conversion will only work properly if the .ebm file was recorded using Extra! Display and has not been modified.

To Convert an Attachmate Extra! Macro to a BlueZone VBS Script:

  1. Launch the BlueZone Script Host & Debugger.

  2. From the MenuBar select File:Open.

  3. Using the "Files of Type" list box, select the .ebm extension.

  4. Browse to the folder containing the macro to convert and click the Open button.

  5. BlueZone will automatically convert the macro, creating a new file using the same name and a .vbs extension.  The original file will not be changed.

  6. Play the new Script using Script:Play in BlueZone or the Play button in the BlueZone Script Host & Debugger program.
